Add up the cost of your clothes, makeup, GHD, TV… the list goes on
It is amazing how quickly we accumulate so much stuff! From every games console made in the last 20 years to handbags to gadgets and trinkets, our homes can be a trove of interesting bits and pieces. A lot of people who rent homes don’t think they need insurance because they don’t own the premises but this is not the case. It is so important to consider and purchase if you can afford it.
If you are a renter and don’t have insurance, I urge you to take just a few minutes to consider how much it would cost you to replace your belongings in the following few scenarios:
• A break in where all jewellery, television and games consoles, gadgets and some appliances are taken. How long would it take you to replace all of these?
• A burst pipe from the hot press destroying all of your clothes and bedding in the hot press. It goes down into the below bedroom that happens to be your main room. It destroys the electronics, clothes and furniture below. Could you afford to replace these items?
• You are out for the day and when you return there has been an electrical fire caused by a dodgey lamp in the living room. The house is gutted and everything you had in the house is gone. How much would it cost to replace these items?
